Prof Ho Lok Sang, currently Director of the Pan Sutong Economic Policy Research Institute, Lingnan University and Research Professor of the University, has been a policy analyst all his life, having worked both in the government and in academia. As an educator convinced that a better life is within reach for most people, Ho devotes his research to discovering better policies and to educating people how to make life worth living. Ho is passionate about life: poetry, music, tai-chi are among his interests, and he is also deeply involved in various community activities. Ho has published widely in refereed journals spanning different policy areas, including housing, macroeconomics, international finance, health, pension plans, labor market policies, etc. He has also worked on various commissioned projects for both private and public agencies. He is convinced that governments and markets should complement each other if we want to further the public interest. Prof. Ho writes a weekly column for China Daily, and appears from time to time in both local and international media.
